A golfer at the top of the backswing on the range, captured with two cameras

Golf

More distance, more consistency, measured

Distance comes from how the pelvis, trunk, arm and club fire in order. Uplift captures the full swing in 3D: X-factor, kinematic sequence and sway. Coaches and players can add speed and protect the back, right on the range.

Bring the 3D lab to the range

Lab golf biomechanics has lived behind marker suits and six-figure rooms for decades. Uplift puts it in your bag: set up two cameras, swing, and review the rotation, sequence and sway behind clubhead speed, captured at up to 240 Hz.

The concept

What ‘X-factor’ really is, and why it matters

X-factor is the separation between the pelvis and the trunk at the top of the backswing. More separation (within a golfer’s mobility) stores more elastic energy to unload through impact, but only if it’s released in the right order.

That order is the kinematic sequence: peak speed passes from pelvis to trunk to arm to club. Uplift measures both, swing after swing.

What you’ll measure

The swing’s vital signs

The numbers behind distance, and behind a healthier lower back.

Power

X-factor

Pelvis-to-trunk separation, with the Max X-factor moment flagged at the top.

Order

Kinematic sequence

The timing of peak speed through the downswing, including peak wrist velocity.

Stability

Sway

Lateral pelvis movement, flagged the moment it crosses the threshold.

Checkpoints

Swing events

Top of backswing, Max X-factor, transition, ball contact and follow-through.

Rotation

Pelvis & trunk rotation

Independent rotation of hips and torso through backswing and downswing.

Detail

Joint kinematics

Joint angles, velocities and 3D keypoints for pelvis, trunk and wrists.

Golf biomechanics FAQ

Can I measure my kinematic sequence without a lab?

Yes. From two cameras, Uplift reconstructs the swing in 3D and shows the timing of peak speed from pelvis to trunk to arm to club: the kinematic sequence.

Does Uplift track X-factor?

Yes. It tracks hips and torso independently and flags the Max X-factor moment on every swing.

Does it measure sway?

Yes. Uplift measures lateral pelvis movement and flags sway the moment it crosses the threshold.

Does it work for every club?

Yes, driver through wedge. It’s markerless and portable, so you can review a full range session in 3D.
